This component of V phase of SCAD Programme aims at informing the general population of drug-related harm and supporting to the establishment of drug prevention programmes in schools.
SCAD covers the area of primary drug prevention through local and international experts in each of the three South Caucasus countries who support a number of activities in this component including:
• In-depth assessments of the drug situation in each of the three South Caucasus countries and short-and long-term technical expertise in the developing appropriate primary drug prevention capacities.
• National concept papers for anti-drug media campaigns.
• A Task Force to jointly support the development, implementation and evaluation of media campaigns.
• A publication on good practices in the field of drug prevention drawing upon lessons learned in SCAD.
• The incorporation of drug prevention materials into school curricula and other materials that support healthy lifestyles.
• A Task Force for drug abuse curricula to support the production or improvement and delivery of relevant materials.
• One regional and three national trainings in the field of drug prevention.
